Waxing
clean, fresh and smooth ….wax the most delicate areas
Traditional temporary hair removal... we do it well with the best waxes that are available on the market today. Areas that can be treated are virtually anywhere on the body: brows, lip, arms, underarm, chest, back, bikini, bottom, legs. Typically waxing treatments are spread out between 4-6 week intervals. In the warm summer months it is common for the hair to grow a little faster.
Electrolysis
Electrolysis and Laser treatments are quite often combined for optimal results. Laser will reduce the number of hairs in a large area more quickly, and electrolysis can eliminate fine stragglers that lack colour. Electrolysis is great for fine tuning of delicate areas such as eyebrows.
How Does Electrolysis Work?
Electrolysis was first introduced in 1875. An electrolysis treatment involves the insertion of a sterile probe, the same size as the hair, into the hair follicle opening down to the dermal papilla. The dermal papilla is the electrologist's target. It is the part of the follicle that contains blood and nerves and feeds the growing hair. If the papilla and regenerative cells surrounding it are destroyed, the hair will die. When the probe is in place a low-level electrical current is applied that will destroy the papilla and surrounding cells and loosen the hair in the follicle. The hair is then removed.
POST-TREATMENT CARE
1 Keep the area cool and clean. Avoid anything too hot.
2 Do not aggravate the skin with vigorous washing or touching with unclean hands.
3 Using clean cotton balls, swab the area with astringent.
4 Cover the area treated with appropriate sunscreen if exposed to sun light.
5 Should pustules and/or crusts appear, do not pick them.
